about

A small team, close to the metal.

Tissue is built by a small, senior team. Between us we've spent careers on large-scale distributed systems and internet-scale security — writing runtimes, operating databases and networks under real load, and building the kind of zero-trust and edge-security products that protect millions of users. Some of us founded successful startups; others did this work inside the large security and infrastructure companies that keep the internet running. Either way, we've done the hard infrastructure work firsthand — so we know which of it is worth building right, and which you should never have to think about.

We keep the team small on purpose. Fewer people, closer to the metal, keeps the platform coherent — every layer, from the isolate boundary to the DNS that fronts it, is owned by someone who understands it end to end. That's how you get a whole backend from a single ribo deploy, with none of the operational sprawl underneath.

The demos page shows working examples of what you can build — REST APIs, LLM chat interfaces, URL shorteners, notes apps, and more — all deployed as Cells with ribo deploy.

We write about what we're building on the Tissue Systems Blog.
